There are four basic Starting Plants in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The Cactus is one of these four starting plants. The Cactus is essentially a sniper class, with a long range, low rate primary weapon. She is also able to deploy Potato mines and Tallnut Battlements.
Primary Weapon[ | ]
The Cactus is the long range, sniper class of Team Plants. Her primary weapon is incredibly accurate, but it doesn't have the best rate of fire. Her abilities can be used as defensive measures at an objective or to protect the player when sniping or using the drone at secluded locations.
Primary Weapon Modifications[ | ]
The Cactus's primary can be modified using the following mods:
- Fast-Load Cactus Training - Enhances the reload speed for the Cactus.
- Extra Spike Growth - increases total ammo capacity.
- Pointier Spikes - Grants a more damaging impact to the cactus needles.
How to Play the Cactus[ | ]
The Cactus is all about location; because of your relatively limited amount of mines and your lack of speed, knowing where to play your ordnance and where to hunker down is going to be key to your survival and success. Before engaging, deploy the Garlic Drone to see over the battlefield, which should let you pick out a decent spot to hide out and deploy your weaponry.

Trivia[ | ]
In Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, by making use of the Cactus, her abilities, and her positioning, it is possible to maneuver the Cactus to higher ground by flying through the air on a Drone.
The graffiti on the landscape, meant to portray the Cactus as a "Dum Camping Meeny", portrays the chute-like snout of the Cactus as its mouth, lacking a snout in the graffiti altogether.
