There are four basic Starting Plants in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The Chomper is one of these four starting plants. The Chomper is the main melee class for the Plants, and uses his abilities to get close and deal massive damage from relatively close quarters.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Chomper primarily uses hit and run tactics to get in close and feast on Zombies. He prefers tunneling underground and emerging beneath Zombies for surprise attacks. He loves the taste of Zombie feet - with just a dash of salt.
Primary Weapon[edit | edit source]
The Chomper has a primary weapon in the form of his Chomp. The Chomp is the only non-ranged ammunition based main weapon in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, but its lack of range is more than made up for by the fact that the Chomp can swallow a zombie whole, preventing them from being revived, as well as destroy swaths of zombies wholesale with the powerful attack. He is also capable of tunneling underground, or burrowing, and swallow a zombie from below.
Primary Weapon Modifications[edit | edit source]
The Chomper's primary can be modified using the following mods:
- Super Chomper Speed Boost - The Chomper receives a speed boost.
- Improved Intestinal Chamber - The Chomper has an increased digestion rate, making it faster to digest zombies.
- Hardened Skin - The Chomper's hardened skin increases health.
How to Play the Chomper[edit | edit source]
The Chomper is the most powerful unit in the Plants arsenal, which is saying quite a lot. His Burrow ability grants an opportunity for instant knockout, if used correctly. Toggle the ability and hide underground, which will let you move extremely quickly towards the enemy. When you're underneath one of the zombies, a reticule should appear allowing you to pop up and take them out. The Burrow ability can also be used to great effect as a defensive move, making the Chomper a pretty "rounded out" unit.
